Civita Institute Facilities in Civita di Bagnoregio

We are delighted that you will be staying at the Civita Institute facilities in Civita!

Our Member Stay Program allows our Members to stay in our fully restored and rustic apartments in Civita including full kitchen, bed, bath, and dining areas each.  Your contributions support the heart of our operations and restoration efforts and programs. You will join our family and hopefully become lifelong Members.  We intend that our Members come back many times, and as their famliies expand, they bring their progeny too. We want you to be a part of this experience and never let go of it.

Our Welcome Letter is full of useful information about staying in Civita.  Prior to your stay at Civita (reserved in advance), please download, sign and return a copy of the Visitor Conditions form in advance.

Medical Insurance. All visitors to the Civita Institute facilites are required to carry medical insurance that will provide coverage during their stay in Italy. Some major medical plans cover foreign travel, but many do not. Travel medical insurance is inexpensive and necessary. Please see the Civita Institute Visitor Conditions form for more on this requirement. Here is a useful web site that explains typical foreign travel medical insurance plans with links to various providers.

By staying in these facilities, you agree to the following:

Cleaning, Loss and Damage. The facilities shall be left in the same conditions in which they were found upon your arrival. The costs for any property damage, items missing or costs for unusual cleaning will be assessed and such costs will be billed to you. You agree to promptly pay the Civita Institute for all such costs.

Act Responsibly. You recognize that the facilities are historic buildings, rustic in nature and not necessarily constructed to modern codes or safety standards. You acknowledge that you have a duty to exercise caution in the use of the facilities and that you shall be responsible for looking after the safety of your party, especially children staying with you. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless NIAUSI dba the Civita Institute, its Directors, Tony Heywood, Civita Institute agents and employees against all claims for damages to any of your belongings, and/or for losses or injuries sustained by you or any member of your party.

Access. Anyone with authority granted by the Civita Institute may have access to the facilities during your stay, for repairs and other access. This is unlikely to happen, but if it does, you will be provided as much warning as is practical.

Cancellations by Members. It is very important that Members who reserve spaces at the Civita Institute facilities provide advance notice if they must cancel their reservation, so that we can accommodate other Members. If you cancel a reservation for any reason, you must notify us in writing, by e-mail, fax or post at least 30 days before your Membership reservation.

Cancellations by the Civita Institute. We may cancel a reservation at any time before the date begins and would expect to do this only in the event of an emergency such as essential building or repair work, or for some other reason unforeseen by us at the time your stay was arranged. In this very unlikely event we will credit any Member Stay benefits in connection with the arrangement, but will not have any liability beyond this, and without limitation of the foregoing, will not have any liability for travel costs incurred by you in relation to the cancelled stay.
